Dashboard Confessional

Biography

Dashboard Confessional is an American emo band from Boca Raton, Florida. Dashboard Confessional's first release is titled The Swiss Army Romance, which was originally a solo project by Chris Carrabba during his time with the band Further Seems Forever. The following year, Further Seems Forever, with Chris Carrabba, records and releases its first album, The Moon is Down. Carrabba leaves the band shortly after to record his second solo album, The Places You Have Come to Fear the Most, and an EP, So Impossible, both released under the name Dashboard Confessional. In 2002, three musicians join the band, including former Further Seems Forever member Jerry Castellanos, and they begin preparing a new album together. Following the success of his second album, Carrabba will perform on MTV Unplugged.
