Released in 2001 on Epic Records, New Killer America captures the Florida nu-metal wave at its most frontal. Skrape deploys massive riffs, vocals that swing between raw fury and melodic hooks, and the cold production typical of the era. The single Waste still holds real stage power, driven by a heavy groove and a tight rhythm section.

The album nonetheless suffers from a lack of distinct identity. Too many tracks recycle the same aggressive verse then airy chorus formula without ever surprising, and the second half runs out of breath. What remains is an honest document of a crowded scene, sincere in its energy but rarely unforgettable. A solid debut that promised more than it ultimately delivered.
