Yawning Man
Biography
Yawning Man is an American desert rock band from Palm Springs, California. Yawning Man was formed in 1986, centered around Gary Arce on guitar and Alfredo Hernandez on drums. They were later joined by Mario Lalli on bass, then his brother Larry as second guitarist. Yawning Man's music is instrumental and consists of long jams. It is characterized by heavily reverberated guitar played in an arpeggiated style. This is combined with a melodic bass line and very tight drumming.
