The Apostasy is the eighth studio album by Polish blackened death metal band Behemoth. The album was released on July 2, 2007 under the Century Media Records label. This album has a certain originality compared to its predecessors. It is indeed the first time the band has used instruments such as piano for the recording of their album. During an interview, Nergal admitted that he did not like the sound of this album. The album cover represents the Hindu goddess Kali.
