Snot
Biography
Snot is an American band formed in 1995 in Santa Barbara, California. Blending nu metal, punk and hardcore, it developed a fast, groovy and energetic sound driven by the charisma of its singer Lynn Strait. The band released its debut album, Get Some, in 1997, and quickly gained attention on the alternative scene of the late 1990s. The band's career was brutally cut short by the death of Lynn Strait in a car accident in 1998. As a tribute, an album bringing together many singers from the metal scene was released, titled Strait Up. Despite its short existence, Snot remains a cult and respected name among fans of the American crossover scene.
