Smile Empty Soul

Biography

Smile Empty Soul is an American rock band formed in Santa Clarita, California, in the late 1990s, around singer and guitarist Sean Danielsen. The group developed an alternative rock tinged with post-grunge, marked by dark lyrics and raw energy. The band gained recognition in 2003 with its self titled debut album, Smile Empty Soul, driven by the single Bottom of a Bottle, which found a solid response on American rock radio. The group then pursued a prolific career, partly on independent labels, with many albums released over the years. Faithful to a direct, no frills rock, Smile Empty Soul has kept an audience attached to its independent path.
