Rammstein

Biography

Rammstein is a German industrial metal band, the flagship of the Neue Deutsche Härte movement. Formed in 1994 in Berlin, it gathers six musicians around deep-voiced singer Till Lindemann and sings almost entirely in German. Their sound welds massive guitars, mechanical rhythms and electronic layers, driven by provocative lyrics and a sharp sense of stagecraft. Herzeleid (1995) launched them in Germany, Sehnsucht (1997) opened international doors, and Mutter (2001) confirmed their status with tracks like Sonne. Famous for spectacular concerts saturated with pyrotechnics, Rammstein has become one of the most popular metal bands in the world.
