Providence

Biography

Providence is a French metallic hardcore band formed in 2005 in Paris. Dark and brutal, their metallic hardcore is built on crushing breakdowns, massive guitars and growled vocals backed by gang vocals, with lyrics of political and social bent. The band made its name on the European heavy hardcore circuit, notably through the MCD Far Beyond Our Depth and a run of splits, before signing to US label Eulogy Recordings for a first full-length in 2013. A figure of the 2000s Paris hardcore scene, Providence was among the bands hosted by Purkas.
