Biography

Probot (contraction of probe and robot) is a side project of heavy metal by guitarist and singer of the Foo Fighters, Dave Grohl (former drummer of Nirvana). At the dawn of the 2000s, Dave's reputation, built on numerous collaborations, was beyond question. While the Foo Fighters machine was running at full speed, Dave isolated himself in January 2000 and recorded about ten heavy metal instrumentals, a genre he has always adored, with the idea of adding vocals from the most prestigious artists of the 1980s, an era that greatly influenced the drummer: "this project is a personal return to my roots because I needed to prove to myself that I still had it in me," he confessed in 2004. I started listening to hardcore in 1982, and a friend of mine introduced me to punk rock.
