Powerwolf

Biography

Powerwolf is a German power metal band from Saarbrücken. The group, formed in 2003 by Charles and Matthew Greywolf, initially operates under the Metal Blade Records label, then under the Napalm Records label from 2012 with the album Preachers of the Night. Using abundant choirs and organs, the members also draw inspiration, for many songs, from religious chants sometimes containing parts in Latin. The two founding members, Benjamin Buss and David Vogt, are friends who have been playing together for a long time. They notably played in a group called Flowing Tears. From their decision to form another group, Powerwolf was born.
