Biography

Naam or Nam is a mantra, the sacred syllable of Sikhism; the equivalent of Om in Hinduism. It represents the name of God, Waheguru. Naam is also used for ritual or meditation by believers. The goal of Sikhism joins yoga in fighting against the demonic ego, and in practicing selfless service. Naam is a sound, a word that designates a concept. In fact, Naam is the shortest expression to designate the entire nature of God.
