Hemelbestormer

Biography

Hemelbestormer is a Belgian post-metal band from Diepenbeek, province of Limbourg, in the Flemish Region. The band was formed in 2012 in Diepenbeek, province of Limbourg with drummer Frederik 'Cozy' Cosemans, guitarists Filip Dupont and Jo Driesmans, bassist Kevin Hensels and keyboardist Joris Timmermans. The band's name can be roughly translated as 'idealist' or 'sky ravager' in English. Joris Timmermans left the band in 2014 following his move to the United Kingdom, and before the recording of the split Hemelbestormer / Vanessa Van Basten that same year. He was not replaced. Two years later, the band signed with the label Debemur Morti Productions for the release in 2016 of its debut studio album, Aether, which was poorly received by the specialized press.
