Gilla Band

Biography

Gilla Band is an Irish post-punk and noise rock band formed in 2011 in Dublin, formerly known as Girl Band. They unfold an abrasive, deconstructed sound blending saturated guitars, repetitive rhythms and an impassioned voice, at the edge of the experimental. Albums like Holding Hands with Jamie and The Talkies earned them critical recognition. Their sonic radicalism and intensity make them a cult figure of modern post-punk.
