Fuel
Biography
Fuel is an American rock band from Pennsylvania, formed at the turn of the 1990s around guitarist and main songwriter Carl Bell and singer Brett Scallions. The group belongs to the post-grunge and alternative rock current that dominated American radio at the end of the decade. Their debut album, Sunburn, was released in 1998 and included the single Shimmer, which opened the door to success. The following album, Something Like Human, arrived in 2000 and contained their biggest hit, Hemorrhage (In My Hands). Natural Selection followed in 2003. After several line-up changes, notably the departure of Bell, the band carried on. Fuel remains closely associated with the mainstream rock sound of the turn of the 2000s.
