From Autumn To Ashes

Biography

From Autumn to Ashes is an American post-hardcore band from Long Island, New York. Their first album, Too Bad You're Beautiful, was released in 2002, and is characterized by intense hardcore violence and emotional atmospheres. Melodic flourishes are present with the acoustic track Chloroform Perfume, and the guitars are heavy and elaborate in their solos. In 2003, The Fiction We Live was released, establishing the band as one of the main emo combos. Signed to the very popular independent label Vagrant Records (The Get Up Kids, Dashboard Confessional), they incorporated much more singing in this new record, although their compositions remained violent. In 2005, Abandon Your Friends came out, featuring quieter tracks with more space for Francis Mark on vocals.
