Decapitated

Biography

Decapitated is a Polish technical death metal band from Krosno, an early prodigy of the extreme scene. Founded in 1996 by guitarist Waclaw Kieltyka, known as Vogg, and his drummer brother Witold, known as Vitek, both then teenagers, the group stunned listeners with its maturity and surgical precision. Winds of Creation (2000) revealed an extraordinary talent, while Organic Hallucinosis (2006) refined a more modern, angular approach. Tragedy struck in 2007 when a bus accident took Vitek's life. Rebuilt by Vogg, Decapitated carried on and confirmed its status as the flag-bearer of Polish technical death metal, praised worldwide for its virtuosity and relentless intensity.
