Clutch

Biography

Clutch is an American band formed in the early 1990s in Maryland. Hard to pin down, the group blends hard rock, stoner, blues and funk influences around the warm voice and highly recognisable delivery of singer Neil Fallon. The lyrics, often unpredictable and full of humour, add a singular narrative dimension to music built on groovy riffs and a rock-solid rhythm section. Renowned for their concerts, where their repertoire truly comes to life, the members of Clutch have built an independent, steady career carried by a loyal fan base. Albums such as Blast Tyrant and Earth Rocker illustrate their craft. Clutch embodies a form of rock that is robust, sincere and resolutely personal, standing apart from passing trends while gaining ever wider respect over the decades.
