Adema
Biography
Formed in 2000 in Bakersfield, California, Adema emerged from a city closely tied to the history of nu metal. The band made its name with a self-titled debut album (2001) and standout singles such as Giving In, combining incisive riffs, melodic choruses and polished production. Original singer Mark Chavez is the half-brother of Jonathan Davis, the frontman of Korn, a connection that fueled media attention around the group in its early days. Adema went through several lineup changes over the years, notably on vocals, without abandoning its identity blending aggression with a sense of melody. The band remains a reference point for that Californian scene of the early 2000s.
