Absurdity is a French extreme metal band from Strasbourg, in the Bas-Rhin. Formed in 2005, the band was composed in December 2015 of five members: Ricardo Gomes (vocals, samples), Arnaud Seebald (drums), Erik Escoffier (guitar), Jay Roam (guitar), David Barada (bass). Since its formation, Absurdity has released a total of two studio albums, D:/Evolution (2011) and Undestructible (2014), two EPs, Urban Strife (2007) and Industreatment (2009). Associated with the deathcore movement since its inception, the band distinguishes itself through the addition of samples and electronic sounds in its compositions. Their live performances are recognized by the public, which allows them to sign in 2010 with the label Urban Death Records for the production of their first album, D:/Evolution, at Supersize recording studios in Budapest.
