Metallica is continuing its ambitious M72 project with a new North American stadium tour in 2027. The California thrash metal legends are maintaining the spectacular format that defined previous editions, featuring the iconic center stage configuration delivering a full 360-degree experience across each arena.

The tour launches on May 8 in Vancouver and runs through June 19 in Salt Lake City, hitting twelve major cities across the continent: San Diego, El Paso, San Antonio, Kansas City, Raleigh, Indianapolis, Buffalo, Madison, and Cleveland complete this extensive circuit. This touring structure confirms Metallica’s strategy of concentrating their efforts on monumental venues rather than fragmented touring schedules.

The opening lineup unites two distinct musical universes: Limp Bizkit, an emblematic figure of 1990s nu metal, alongside Avatar, a Swedish progressive and theatrical metal outfit. This unexpected pairing promises stylistic diversity across every date, reflecting Metallica’s intent to explore unconventional collaborations at scale.

Following previous M72 iterations, varied access options will be available: premium VIP packages, exclusive Snake Pit access, and enhanced experiences allow fans to customize their immersion level. This commercial approach complements the innovative stage design Metallica has sustained since the project’s inception.
