Coalesce is a metallic hardcore and mathcore band from Kansas City, Missouri, formed in the mid-1990s. It plays a tortuous, abrasive hardcore with deconstructed riffs, notably on Functioning on Impatience. The band is a demanding, influential reference of experimental hardcore.
