Being as an Ocean is a Californian melodic hardcore band, formed in the early 2010s around singer Joel Quartuccio. It stands out with a marked use of spoken word and introspective lyrics, carried by an atmospheric post-hardcore. Its raw sensitivity makes it a very identifiable band of the modern scene.
