Basement is an English band from Ipswich, formed in 2009, on the border of post-hardcore, emo and alternative rock. Its catchy melodies and hazy production, notably on Colourmeinkindness, earned it a loyal audience on both sides of the Atlantic. The band embodies a melodic, introspective vein of contemporary hardcore.
