Biography

Bad Brains is a pioneering band from Washington, formed in 1977 by four African American musicians coming from jazz fusion. Blending a blindingly fast hardcore punk with reggae excursions, carried by the possessed voice of H.R., they revolutionized the genre from their album Bad Brains (1982) to I Against I (1986). Their influence on punk, hardcore and alternative metal is regarded as major and lasting.
