Agnostic Front

Biography

Agnostic Front is one of the founding bands of New York hardcore, formed in 1980 in Manhattan's Lower East Side around guitarist Vinnie Stigma and singer Roger Miret. With Victim in Pain (1984) and Cause for Alarm (1986), they laid the groundwork for a furious hardcore that flirted early with metal, paving the way for crossover. A guiding figure of the NYHC scene, the band has crossed the decades without shedding its street energy or working-class roots.
