The voice of Testament turns author: Holding My Breath: The Two Testaments of Chuck Billy, co-written with Dave Erickson, arrives November 10 via Permuted Press, with a foreword by Rob Halford (Judas Priest) and an afterword by Randy Blythe (Lamb Of God). The book splits into two “testaments”: the rise of Bay Area thrash on one side; on the other, the cancer diagnosed at 38, his Native American and Mexican-American heritage, and the metal community’s support.
Chuck Billy will mark the release with several appearances: an in-store session in Phoenix on October 29 (Changing Hands), then launch parties in Seal Beach on November 10, with Jose Mangin and Brian Posehn, and in Dublin, California, on November 14, with Phil and Marta Demmel.
