Os Cro-Mags são uma banda maior do hardcore nova-iorquino, formada em 1984 em Manhattan em torno de Harley Flanagan. A estreia The Age of Quarrel (1986) é um cume do género, fundindo hardcore, metal e espiritualidade Krishna numa torrente de energia bruta. Apesar de tensões internas que se tornaram lendárias, a banda influenciou de forma duradoura o crossover e gerações de músicos hardcore.
