From the archives, 2006: Gojira + Aside From A Day in Paris — the night everything felt possible

Dug out of our archives — a show put on by the Purkas association on January 27, 2006.

In January 2006, Gojira weren’t yet the band that would play the Olympics in front of the entire planet: they were four guys from Landes touring From Mars to Sirius, already flattening everything in their path. That night in Paris, they played a show organized by our association, with Aside From A Day opening.

Twenty years on, the photos are lost, the PA was questionable and the walls were sweating — but everyone who was there remembers. That energy is exactly why we switched Purkas back on.
