Nickelback

Biography

Nickelback is a Canadian rock band formed in 1995 in Hanna, Alberta, around singer and guitarist Chad Kroeger. Playing a post-grunge and hard rock with extremely catchy choruses, the group became one of the best-selling commercial acts of the 2000s. The album Silver Side Up, driven by the single How You Remind Me, marked their global breakthrough, while The Long Road and especially All the Right Reasons, featuring Photograph, confirmed their dominance of the airwaves. These were followed by Dark Horse, Here and Now, No Fixed Address, Feed the Machine and Get Rollin'. Frequently a target of criticism despite colossal sales, Nickelback remains an unavoidable and polarizing figure in mainstream North American rock.
