Killswitch Engage est un groupe de metalcore du Massachusetts, formé en 1999. Avec Alive or Just Breathing (2002) et The End of Heartache (2004), il définit la formule moderne du metalcore mélodique, alternant chant clair et hurlements sur des riffs puissants. Le groupe compte parmi les plus influents et populaires du genre à l'échelle mondiale.
