Cradle Of Filth
Biography
Cradle Of Filth formed in 1991 in Suffolk, England. Led by singer Dani Filth and his recognizable high pitched voice, the band became one of the most famous names in British extreme metal. Its music combines black metal, gothic atmospheres, theatrical orchestrations and an imagination fed by horror and literature. From the mid 1990s, albums such as The Principle of Evil Made Flesh, Dusk and Her Embrace and Cruelty and the Beast built its international reputation. The concept album devoted to Countess Erzsebet Bathory left a particularly strong impression. With a polished visual identity and spectacular concerts, Cradle Of Filth crossed the boundaries of underground metal to reach a far wider audience around the world.
