Biography

Youth of Today is the flagship band of the youth crew movement and straight edge culture, formed in 1985 by Ray Cappo and Porcell between Connecticut and New York. With Break Down the Walls (1986) and We're Not in This Alone, they spread a fast, positive and militant hardcore, promoting a drug-free and alcohol-free lifestyle. Their influence on the aesthetics and ethics of hardcore remains immense.
