This Is Hell is an American metallic hardcore band formed in 2005 in Long Island, New York. Their formula crosses old-school hardcore rage with thrash's edge, driven by relentless energy. The albums Sundowning (2006) and Misfortunes (2008) put them on the map, before Weight of the World (2010) and Black Mass (2011) embraced a heavier, more abrasive metal turn. A live band above all, they left their mark on the East Coast hardcore scene of the 2000s.
