Arkangel
Biography
Arkangel is a Belgian metallic hardcore band that emerged in the late 1990s at the heart of the H8000 scene, named after the West Flanders region it came from. Vegan straight edge and resolutely dark, their heavy, lightless metallic hardcore established them as one of the flag-bearers of Belgian hardcore, alongside bands like Congress and Liar. The albums Dead Man Walking (1998) and Prayers Upon Deaf Ears (2000) remain genre references. After a long hiatus, the band reformed to reconnect with the scene.
