The event is called “California, Dream On: Aerosmith & Friends”: two special nights at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles on October 29 and November 1, with Don Was as musical director. They mark Aerosmith’s first stage appearances since the “Peace Out” farewell tour was abandoned in September 2023 following Steven Tyler’s fractured larynx.
The lineup, different each night, is dizzying: Guns N’ Roses have been added as “very special guest performers”, alongside The Black Crowes, Run-DMC, Heart, Billy Idol, Sammy Hagar, Eric Church, Tom Morello, Chad Smith (Red Hot Chili Peppers), Jerry Cantrell and Mike Inez (Alice In Chains), Nuno Bettencourt and Sully Erna. More names are still to be announced.
