Nonpoint is marking a significant milestone by staging three consecutive anniversary shows in their native Florida. The band will perform January 29 through 31, choosing an intimate homecoming format rather than a sprawling international tour to commemorate their 30th year. Founded in Tampa in 1996, Nonpoint has built a resilient legacy in a scene prone to dissolution and reinvention.
Survival in the nu metal age
Few acts from the nu metal wave of the late 1990s have maintained continuous output and touring for three decades. Nonpoint, led by vocalist Elias Soriano, stands among those rare survivors who weathered industry shifts and genre fatigue without lengthy hiatuses or reunion narratives. The band’s consistency across albums and live performances has preserved a dedicated core fanbase across generations.
The three-night stand will span Nonpoint’s entire discography, from foundational tracks that defined their early identity to cover versions that have become touchstones for longtime supporters. Aurorawave and Afterlife will open each evening, rounding out a program designed to chronologically survey three decades of creative output.
Rather than framing these shows as a valedictory gesture, the Florida residency reinforces Nonpoint’s steady presence in a rock landscape that values longevity and creative continuity. The anniversary becomes an assertion of durability and relevance earned through sustained engagement with both their music and their audience.
