The second album by American band Tetrarch, Unstable arrived in 2021 and pushed the Atlanta quartet to the forefront of the nu metalcore revival. The band fully embraces its 2000s heritage, between Korn-style syncopated riffs, modern breakdowns and catchy choruses, carried by the versatile singing of Josh Fore and the noted solos of guitarist Diamond Rowe.

The themes revolve around anxiety, anger and mental instability, in tune with a young audience raised on alternative metal. Technically solid and fearsomely effective live, the album sometimes lacks personality and risk-taking, but confirms Tetrarch as a serious hope of a scene in full resurgence.
