Metal Blade Records, the fiercely independent label responsible for launching Metallica, Slayer, and Cannibal Corpse, celebrates its 45th anniversary in 2027. Since its founding in 1982, the label has remained a cornerstone of metal, nurturing genre-defining icons and serving as the longtime home to King Diamond, Killswitch Engage, Whitechapel, and Cattle Decapitation among many others.

To honor this milestone, founder Brian Slagel is launching a new podcast that explores 25 classic albums from Metal Blade’s storied catalog. The series offers an intimate look at the label’s profound impact on metal music across nearly five decades.
