Band
Papa Roach
Biography
Founded in 1993 in Vacaville, California, Papa Roach spent years grinding in obscurity before breaking through to the mainstream. Driven by the charisma of frontman Jacoby Shaddix, the band fuses rap, edgy riffs and unifying choruses. Their album Infest, released in 2000, and its anthem about inner turmoil made them one of the faces of international nu metal. Refusing to stand still, they later toughened and then refined their sound, moving toward a more direct alternative rock across subsequent albums. Renowned for their intense live shows and their longevity, Papa Roach have built a loyal following and weathered shifting trends without ever vanishing from the scene.
